Colossians 1:28 says, “Him (Jesus) we proclaim, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” Our mission at West Park Thrive is to see students come to know Christ and mature in Christ. We want our teenagers to be grounded and growing in the faith, which means that they must take ownership of their faith.
 
What does it mean for a student to mature in Christ?
We believe that the New Testament presents three core characteristics of a maturing believer:

 

1. They Love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. (Matthew 22:37)

2. They Love People as they love themselves. (Matthew 22:39)

3. They Make Disciples here and of the nations. (Matthew 28:19-20)
